Thank you to everyone who got Chrissy's bike across the pond to her and welcome to our American friends we are encountering as a result of it!
Below: Mark Stevens, CycleAbility's own committee member with Steve Hillman, Cornwall's Inclusion Development Officer for Cornwall Sports Partnership supporting him, carried the Olympic Torch through the streets of Penzance on the first day of the relay, 19th May 2012. Something which needless to say, we are very proud of his being selected for. And on 26th June 2012, Guest Speaker Caroline Waugh also carried the torch in the NE ..
This was followed up by a Family Fun Sports Day at Newquay Sports Centre and Newquay Tretherras School. Youngsters were able to meet Mark in Newquay and encouraged to join in the Wheelchair Basketball that Steve Hillman has organised for the day with the specialised bikes we took possession of at the recent conference, also on display. PLUS: Three new links for the All Inclusive Cycling group emanating from their success at the CTC Awards .. Team Youth UK, the Electric Bike Network and if you are planning a trip to the States how about this .. Assisted Cycling Tours Check this out., this is precisely what we are trying to achieve in Cornwall!
